What I'll Be Watching During The Fall 2024 Anime Season

Image
Ah, yes. The Fall 2024 anime post that I promised a couple of days ago is finally here. Not sure if I'll actually be able to watch them all, but I'll at least try! Sorry, but I'd like to get right to the list, okay? Okay. Let's a-go! 1. Acro Trip Remember "Gushing Over Magical Girls"? Of course you do; it just aired earlier this year. I actually watched it as it aired just because I thought the premise of a magical girl fan becoming a villain fighting against said magical girls was a kind of cool concept, but it's definitely not for everyone, given its heavy amount of fanservice. I knew about Acro Trip before I knew about Gushing Over Magical Girls, though, and while I didn't really care about what it was about - I was just starving for new magical girl anime that wasn't Pretty Cure - it seems to have a similar concept. I feel like it might be able to be a good alternative for those who might be interested in Gushing Over Magical Girls's concep

The Anime I've Been Watching For Summer 2024

Image
Given how I wrote a blog post back in March about what anime I'll be watching during spring 2024, you would think I would do the same for summer 2024, but....uh, it's the end of September, and two of the anime I've been watching have finished airing already. It probably wouldn't have been the most accurate of lists in hindsight, anyway, given how I ended up watching some anime that I wasn't planning on watching, anyway. Well, given how I'm way  too late for my "What I'll Be Watching During the Summer 2024 Anime Season" post, I'll just list what I've been watching instead and some quick thoughts on each one. I'd also list what I plan to watch during the Fall 2024 anime season, but I think it'd be better for blog post length and overall focus on the topic to just make a separate post for that. Well, enough chatter; let's just get to it! 1. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf Out of all of the anime I watched during the sp

I Wrote Lyrics For A Persona 5-Themed Parody of a Phineas and Ferb Song

A phantom thief? JOKER the Phantom Thief?! Back in March, I created a blog for song lyrics I made up. Until a little earlier this month, the only lyrics on that blog were for an original song I made up for a story I still haven't fully written. At some point, I remembered something that I knew I could put up on the blog. You see, back when I was playing Persona 5 (the vanilla one; I still need to finish Royal at some point), there's a little something I'd do while exploring Mementos. For some reason, I would sing the "doo-bee-doo-bee-doo-ba"s from the Perry the Platypus theme from "Phineas and Ferb", a show I used to love as a child; I'd even time it so that the Morgana-mobile, as I like to call it, would hit Shadows right when I got to the "ba". I have no idea why I did it; I just did. I was randomly thinking about this at work one day back in October of 2023, and then, inspiration hit me. I should write Persona 5-themed lyrics for a par

My Overall Thoughts on Total Drama Island (2023)

Image
(WARNING!: This blog post will contain spoilers for the entirety of the first season of the Total Drama Island reboot. Proceed with caution.) Well, it's finally happened. The first season of the Total Drama revival has fully aired in the US, and people no longer have to scour the Internet to watch this season illegally. (The second season is currently a different story, though....) Given the whole Total Drama Reunion debacle from 2021 and how soon the revival's announcement came after that, it would have been easy for me to ignore the hype and boycott these two new seasons....but unfortunately, I'm a sheep who had been starved for new Total Drama content other than Total Dramarama since The Ridonculous Race ended. (Speaking of Total Dramarama, I sort of dropped it after episode 18 or 19. I don't remember exactly which one.) That being said, I knew that I'd be able to watch it legally at some point, so even when the Total Drama revival came out in Italy and the Engli

Top 10 Visual Novels I Want To Play (Updated Version)

Image
Although I haven't been playing very many visual novels lately, that doesn't mean my interest in them has completely faded away. I'm not sure if or when I'll get around to playing them, but there are still plenty of visual novels I intend to finish and that I want to start. Back in 2018, I published a  top 10 list  on this blog for visual novels I was interested in playing. Six years later, more than half of that list has become obsolete due to me actually getting the chance to play them! (Admittedly, though, I have only actually finished  Love and Romance - A Study of Intimacy  and  A Sky Full of Stars  so far.) With that being said, I think it's time the list got an update. This time, I'm not going to categorize my reasons for not playing each one at this time; I'm just going to talk about why I'm interested in them. Now, before I get to the list, here are some honorable mentions! Now, onto the list! Admittedly, my
