Happy 10th Anniversary, Seduce Me!

Image
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! In case you don't know, today also marks the 10th anniversary since the release of  Seduce Me , also known as Seduce Me the Otome. This beloved otome game follows a girl named Mika (name changeable) Anderson as she inherits her grandfather's mansion, encounters five brothers who all happen to be demons - incubi, to be more specific - and potentially falls in love with one of them. Since its release on February 14, 2015, it has gone on to generate a sequel game (called "Seduce Me 2: The Demon War"), multiple side story games, a couple of otome CDs, and even an entire dakimakura set. Yes, I'm serious. You can buy them  here . I've been following Michaela Laws's work for a long time now, so it's needless to say that I've played this game and all of the games related to it in their entireties. In fact, I did a  Let's Play  of the original game several years ago! For that reason, I just wanted to make a dumb litt...

Cleaning Out My Dropped Anime List

Image
As of the day I'm writing this (January 21, 2025), this is what the "Dropped" section of my anime list on AniList looks like. Count them; that's 49 anime. (Well, 48 anime and 1 aeni, anyway.) It may seem like a lot to people like my parents, but if you take into account how many anime I've watched to completion, it's really not that much at all. Still, it's enough to make one want to clean the list out. Granted, there's no guarantee that I'm going to actually get around to watching enough anime to get this list cleaned out, but I can at least envision how much I'd be willing to watch to clean the Dropped list out. Thus, I put all 49 of these series into a tier list to figure it out. Here's what that tier list ended up looking like. Yeah, as you can see, there aren't that many anime I'm completely willing to finish. I mean, when you drop an anime, it means that you aren't willing to watch any more of it; why would you then say t...

The (Potential) Revival of My Story Blog

Image
Happy 2025, everyone, and welcome to My Blog About Whatever's 50th post! (Jennette McCurdy, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for bringing up bad memories.) Okay, "borrowing" that image and saying that it's my "50th Blog Post Spectacular" might not be the best thing to do. I mean, I've certainly done more than 50 posts over all of my blogs; heck, my review blog has 102 posts, as of this writing! Speaking of my blogs, there is one that I have been neglecting over the last nine-and-a-half years. My  story blog . Since I was young, I've always wanted to do something creative with my life, and in my mind, the best way to do that was writing stories. Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I was constantly coming up with different story ideas, whether they were original stories or fanfictions, and sometimes  even writing them down. For that reason, when I started my story blog in 2015, I thought that I would have a lot of different stories wri...

What I'll Be Watching During The Winter 2025 Anime Season

Image
Well, the time has come once again. As Christmas draws ever nearer, seasonal anime have begun to wrap themselves up (pun completely intended), and the decision on what to watch in the next season has to be made. Luckily, I've got quite the line-up decided on already, including not one, but two anime that are continuing from the fall 2024 season! I want to list all of the anime I plan to watch during the winter 2025 anime season, and I'll start with the ones I'm continuing. Continuing Anime #1: Blue Box Gotta say, I'm really liking this one so far! It has really pretty animation, and it balances both the sports and the romance parts of its story very well! Not only that, but the two love interests actually have really good chemistry! I could go on about how much I love this anime, but I think I'll leave my feelings in a review, should I decide I want to write one. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the second half of Blue Box! Continuing Anime #2: Tying the ...

100 Reviews! Now What?

Image
When I started my  review blog  back in 2015, I had a goal to write and post 100 reviews to the blog. I didn't care how long it was going to take, nor did I care how badly-written all of the reviews were going to be; I just wanted to get 100 reviews on the blog. Throughout these 9 years, I had phases where I would constantly write reviews and phases where I wouldn't write any at all; heck, I didn't write any reviews in 2023! During the phases when I would  write reviews, I would also feel a lot of insecurity, as I'm really not that good of a writer at all, nor am I good at explaining things. Despite all of that, today, I finally did it. I posted my 100th review to the review blog! (This girl is from Menhera Shoujo Kurumi-chan, if anyone was wondering.) I seriously can't believe I did it. Through all of my struggles and insecurities, I actually accomplished something I wanted to accomplish. It took nearly a decade, but I still did it! When I realized I was finally ge...

What I'll Be Watching During The Fall 2024 Anime Season

Image
Ah, yes. The Fall 2024 anime post that I promised a couple of days ago is finally here. Not sure if I'll actually be able to watch them all, but I'll at least try! Sorry, but I'd like to get right to the list, okay? Okay. Let's a-go! 1. Acro Trip Remember "Gushing Over Magical Girls"? Of course you do; it just aired earlier this year. I actually watched it as it aired just because I thought the premise of a magical girl fan becoming a villain fighting against said magical girls was a kind of cool concept, but it's definitely not for everyone, given its heavy amount of fanservice. I knew about Acro Trip before I knew about Gushing Over Magical Girls, though, and while I didn't really care about what it was about - I was just starving for new magical girl anime that wasn't Pretty Cure - it seems to have a similar concept. I feel like it might be able to be a good alternative for those who might be interested in Gushing Over Magical Girls's concep...

The Anime I've Been Watching For Summer 2024

Image
Given how I wrote a blog post back in March about what anime I'll be watching during spring 2024, you would think I would do the same for summer 2024, but....uh, it's the end of September, and two of the anime I've been watching have finished airing already. It probably wouldn't have been the most accurate of lists in hindsight, anyway, given how I ended up watching some anime that I wasn't planning on watching, anyway. Well, given how I'm way  too late for my "What I'll Be Watching During the Summer 2024 Anime Season" post, I'll just list what I've been watching instead and some quick thoughts on each one. I'd also list what I plan to watch during the Fall 2024 anime season, but I think it'd be better for blog post length and overall focus on the topic to just make a separate post for that. Well, enough chatter; let's just get to it! 1. Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf Out of all of the anime I watched during the sp...
