20 Anime I Want To Watch In 2017

Image
(Disclaimer: None of these pictures are mine!) Well, it's New Year's Eve, the last day of 2016. On a day like this, we look back on the year and look forward to next year, thinking about the resolutions we could accomplish. As for me, my New Year's resolution is the same as any other year; watch a lot of great anime. For that reason, I decided to compile a list of the anime I want to watch in 2017, whether it'll be anime airing that year or anime that has aired in the past that I still haven't watched yet. With all that said and done, let's run down the list! 1. Tari Tari Throughout the course of 2016, I have listened to Tari Tari's insert songs countless times, and I really enjoyed listening to them. The premise seems interesting, too, especially considering that a hobby of my own is singing (and I'm even in my school's choir). I meant to watch it sometime this year, but for some reason, I never got around to it. Thus, I want Tari Tari t

Two Yuri Manga Get Anime

Image
Whew! On this Thanksgiving Day, I'm thankful for getting my  Pokemon Sun and Moon review  getting released when I did! Okay, so although my family is over in the kitchen right now, socializing like the social butterflies I somewhat wish I could be like, I'm still sitting at my grandmother's computer, blogging away. (We had our Thanksgiving dinner already.) Well, in the spirit of this holiday, I should probably mention something else I'm thankful for.... but what? What could I possibly be grateful for? The recent announcement of the anime adaptations of not one, but two  yuri manga, that's what! Just for the record, I am not  a lesbian; in real life, I have a guy friend who I have a crush on, and a lot of people know that, albeit few know exactly who. (I'm not going to tell you who it is, either!) I just happen to enjoy yuri and prefer it over yaoi. My yuri fangirl-ness came from a young age, actually; I secretly used to ship May and Dawn from Pokemon. Althou

Two Skipped Reviews

Image
In case you haven't noticed, I haven't updated my review blog since September. I'm really sorry about that! I haven't really been able to finish a lot of anime or find anything else worth reviewing lately, so I haven't really been in the reviewing groove. Okay, I lied; I have been writing reviews, but they were not for my review blog. The two reviews I wrote were for class assignments; I considered posting them on my review blog, but ultimately, I decided against it. Why? (WARNING!: Spoilers for "Bakuman." incoming!) You see, in season three of "Bakuman." (which was the best out of the three, by the way; I literally watched the whole season in just a week), there was a character named Tooru Nanamine. He was a fan of Muto Ashirogi, the pen name Mashiro and Takagi went by as manga artists, who wanted to be a manga artist for Shonen Jump (or Shonen Jack, as the anime called it) himself; unfortunately, his inability to take criticism and his onli

Top 10 Anime That I Think Need/Deserve an Additional Season

Image
(WARNING!: Some of my reasons involve spoilers for certain anime. Read with caution.) When finishing an anime, have you ever thought one of the following thoughts? "Aw, man, that was so good! This anime deserves a second season!" "What was with that cliffhanger ending?! Maybe a second season will resolve it...." Even I have told myself that, so I decided to put together a list of anime that I think deserve or even don't deserve but need a second season or beyond if it already has one. Before we get on with the list, let's start with some honorable mentions! Honorable Mentions: B Gata H Kei Highschool of the Dead K-On! Ouran High School Host Club Rosario + Vampire Tonari no Seki-kun 10. Chibi Devi Wait, a kids' anime on this list?! What?! To be honest, I enjoyed this anime; it was adorable. However, I'm kind of disappointed with how it ended. I was hoping to see the babies grown up, but instead, we get a small arc of the

How I Started Reviewing (Plus Why Some of my MAL Reviews Are Now Gone)

As few of you are aware, I have  a review blog . On this blog, I review anime, manga, novels, shows, movies, and eventually video games (once I finish playing If My Heart Had Wings). I bet all of you are wondering, "How did this review blog start?" Well, since I'm getting close to having posted 50 reviews on that blog, as well as it being over a year since I started it, I think the time has come to reveal the origins of my reviewing self. It all goes back to sometime in 2013. I don't remember what anime it was (I think it was Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan), but I saw an anime review written by a MyAnimeList user (that user's username is for me to know and for you to investigate) that kind of piqued my interest. Since I joined, I had written a few reviews myself, but they were all short and stupid, as well as most of them having been written months after actually watching them. (One of them was actually written after watching only 5 episodes of said anime!) By rea

Top 10 Manga and Visual Novels That I Think Deserve An Anime

Image
Let's face it; all anime/manga fans have that one manga that they think deserves an anime adaptation. Same goes for those who play visual novels; there is probably at least one visual novel that is thought to deserve an anime adaptation. As for me, there are plenty  of manga and visual novels that deserve an anime adaptation but sadly don't have one. That is what we will be discussing today; I will be listing the top 10 manga and visual novels that I think deserve an anime adaptation. So, without further adieu, let's start with our honorable mentions! Honorable Mentions: Apothecarius Argentum (manga) Higashi no Kurume to Tonari no Meguru (manga) Tenshin Ranman: Lucky or Unlucky?! (visual novel) Millenium Snow (manga) Stardust Wink (manga) Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode (manga) Rakunou Milk! (manga) +Anima (manga) Idol Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru Michiru (visual novel) K-On! College (manga) Whew, that's a lot, am I right? Well, let's get to the actual list! 10.

Top 5 Bakuman Manga I Want To Read

Image
(WARNING! This blog post contains spoilers for Bakuman! Either read the entire manga or watch the entire anime, and then, come back!) Back in January 2016, I finished watching the Bakuman anime, and just last night, I finished reading the manga (which I wrote a review for which you can read  here ). In case you don't know, it's about a pair of middle school boys who decide to leave their own mark in the manga industry. Of course, it's inevitable that there will be lots of in-series manga, some of them even getting in-series anime adaptations! (We actually get to experience a little bit of both for one of them, "Otters 11".) Personally, there are a few that I'm interested in actually reading for myself. I've been planning to do this list for quite a while, and now that I'm done with the manga, couldn't this be a more appropriate time? Well, here we go! Honorable Mentions Can't Fool Me (Kazuya Hiramaru) +NATURAL (Eiji Niizuma and Aiko
