Introduction
Hello there! Okay, first of all, my actual name isn't Miyako. It's (censored). Sorry, but I'm only revealing my true name to people who know me in real life.
Anyway, I'm a teenage girl who has loved anime and manga since I was 11. Several of the anime I like are Midori Days, High School DxD, B Gata H Kei, Pokemon, Nanaka 6/17, D-Frag, MM, Kanon, The World God Only Knows, Sakura Trick, Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo, Zombie-Loan, Shakugan no Shana, Squid Girl, Shugo Chara, and Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch. My favorite anime of all time, though, has GOT to be The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
If you'd like to know how I got into anime, I'll tell you. When I was 10, I got into Pokemon. A year later, though, I discovered a website that had to do with an anime called Tokyo Mew Mew. Interested by this series, I decided to watch it. I started out by watching its English dub, Mew Mew Power, and watched the rest of the series in Japanese. I had actually known about anime before, but for some reason, I tried to avoid it. Anyway, I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with Tokyo Mew Mew, and I still love it to this day! As I was progressively getting through the series, some friends I made through my new hobby recommended some other anime, such as Rosario + Vampire, Mermaid Melody, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Eventually, I finished Tokyo Mew Mew, but I knew all too well that was only the beginning of my new, anime-filled life.
You know how I mentioned earlier that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is my favorite anime? Well, I first heard about it through a YouTube video where Pikachu, Plusle, and Minun (all three of them being Pokemon) doing the Hare Hare Yukai. Actually, I think that was back when I wasn't so much into anime. Then, the video came into my memory, and I realized that it might actually be from an anime. Deciding to investigate, I watched the video again, and I finally deducted that the song was, in fact, Hare Hare Yukai, which was the ED from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I also fell in love with the OP, Bouken Desho Desho. Thus, I decided that I had to watch it no matter what. I honestly didn't care about it much at first, but before I knew it, I found myself looking forward to each episode. Not even Endless Eight bothered me! It was a highly enjoyable anime with awesome characters, funny comedy, epic songs, glamorous animation, and an amazing story! I absolutely recommend The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya if anyone wishes to know the definition of a perfect anime!
Ahem, excuse me. I went into Haruhi fangirl mode for a moment there. Anyway, it was through The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, along with Lucky Star, K-On, and Kanon, that I came to know about my current favorite anime studio, Kyoto Animation. This studio always creates anime that seem at least close to masterpieces, if you ask me! To this day, I've at least watched one episode of every series KyoAni (short for Kyoto Animation) has created, but Haruhi still remains my favorite.
Despite The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya being my favorite anime, my favorite anime song comes from a different anime. It's "Viva Namida", from a just recently aired anime called Space Dandy. I really liked Space Dandy, finding it to be hilarious and catching myself laughing pretty much all the way through each episode. Viva Namida was a song that I actually didn't care about at first, as I've originally felt about The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. However, after a while, I found myself singing it out loud or humming it, and the song got stuck in my head every once in a while. Before I knew it, I had realized I loved the song. It's definitely a dandy song for a dandy guy in space!
I've been watching YouTube videos since I was, like, 8 or 9. I don't know; I know it was sometime while my age was in the single digits! Anyway, I waited until I was finally 13 to make a YouTube account (meaning I had to make a Google account), and I actually made it a few days after my 13th birthday. My debut to the YouTube world was an 8-second-long video about Kagamine Rin, a Vocaloid (I bet any anime fan would also love Vocaloid, and I'm no exception), dancing to some music. Later, I posted an audition for a Tamako Market fandub, which I'm not sure is going to happen anymore, considering that an official dub is coming soon! I was planning on posting videos of me playing anime songs on my flute, and eventually, I posted a video of me playing "Love Slave", the OP for DearS. I don't know if I did THAT good, but I kept posting videos of me playing anime songs. I haven't been doing that lately, though; last time I posted a video, it was of me playing "Zzz" from Nichijou.
So that's me. I-it's not like I wanted my introduction to be this long! I just had to introduce myself if I wanted to create this blog! Just so you know, I'll mostly post about anime, but I call my blog "My Blog About Whatever" because I may talk about something other than anime! FYI, I used to have a blog on a different site, but apparently, the blog feature on that site is being taken down.....
Okay, so that's it. I'm done with this freakishly long introduction. Whatever I may say in the future, I guess you should look forward to it!
