Top 10 Visual Novels I Want To Play (Updated Version)

Image
Although I haven't been playing very many visual novels lately, that doesn't mean my interest in them has completely faded away. I'm not sure if or when I'll get around to playing them, but there are still plenty of visual novels I intend to finish and that I want to start. Back in 2018, I published a  top 10 list  on this blog for visual novels I was interested in playing. Six years later, more than half of that list has become obsolete due to me actually getting the chance to play them! (Admittedly, though, I have only actually finished  Love and Romance - A Study of Intimacy  and  A Sky Full of Stars  so far.) With that being said, I think it's time the list got an update. This time, I'm not going to categorize my reasons for not playing each one at this time; I'm just going to talk about why I'm interested in them. Now, before I get to the list, here are some honorable mentions! Now, onto the list! Admittedly, my

The Birth of a New Blog and The Bad Song Lyrics That Came With It

So....I started a new blog today. I'm not sure how much I'm going to update it, but I started one. It's a blog for song lyrics I made up . Let me explain myself. When I was younger, I used to like to write song lyrics, mainly ones related to how much I was struggling with some feelings I had for a certain guy. The song lyrics I'd write wouldn't really have instrumentals to them, considering how I suck at composing music; they were more like poems advertised as song lyrics. With how I've been trying to get back into writing in general lately, I kind of thought that maybe at some point, I could pick writing song-lyric-writing up again. (Hopefully, I can avoid writing so much about that particular guy....) For that purpose, as well as maybe putting some lyrics I wrote in the past on the Internet, I started a song lyric blog. So far, the only set of lyrics on the blog is one for an original song called " The Orange I See ". I don't remember exactly  wh

3 Blog Posts I Want To Rewrite

Image
I wrote this on the same day that I wrote my " Changing Things Up " post, so obviously, the 10th anniversary of this stupid little blog hasn't happened yet. That being said, while I didn't really talk about myself much over the nearly ten years since I started this stupid little blog, I have written quite a few posts about my interests and such, with this being the 41st blog post I've written for it. Given that I was still pretty young when I started, though, I will admit that I've written some very stupid posts nonetheless, ones that I want to rewrite if I can. There are three in particular that I'd really like to rewrite, as a matter of fact. Let's go over those three today. (Oh, and just so you know, I'm only going to be talking about my posts from this blog. That means nothing from my  review blog  or my very dead  story blog . Those are their own cans of worms.) 1. My overall thoughts on Yuri Kuma Arashi GOOD LORD. Look, I'm not good at e

Changing Things Up

Image
On June 15th, it'll have been ten years since I started this stupid little blog, and things have changed over those ten years. I've gotten my high school diploma, dropped out of college, went through three different jobs, went on two out-of-state vacations, found my all-time favorite visual novel, discovered just how much fun Photoshop (and GIMP) can be, uploaded a bunch of videos onto my now-kind-of-dead YouTube channel (although I would like to somehow get it back up and running), spent time with friends and family, panicked about whether or not I was actually dating a particular friend of mine (I actually wasn't), experienced so many anime, manga, video games, books, and what have you, and posted 96 reviews on a stupid little  review blog  that is less than a year younger than this one. Oh, and I rewatched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya at one point, including Endless Eight. Still the best anime ever made, even with Endless Eight being a thing! Okay, in that last para

What I'll Be Watching During The Spring 2024 Anime Season

Image
(WARNING!: Some of my explanations for the anime on this list may contain spoilers for previous seasons of that anime. Please read with caution.) Well, it's that time again. Winter 2024 is approaching its end, and with that, most of the anime that premiered during this season, along with some anime that premiered during an earlier season, have started airing their finales. It won't be long until the Spring 2024 season comes, and with it will come a plethora of new anime, whether they're completely new or just a continuation of an anime that premiered much earlier than now. I don't know about anyone else, but spring 2024 is looking to be a busy season for me. I'm working on getting my driver's license, I'm preparing to go back to college in the fall, and there are 15 anime that I plan to watch during the season. Curious about what those 15 anime are? Well, can't hurt to tell you, can it? 1. Delicious in Dungeon "Hey, wait a minute! This is a Winter 2

I Once Wrote Lyrics for An Extended Version of the Striped Sweater Song from SpongeBob SquarePants

Image
Well, this is quite odd. I went three years without posting anything on this blog, and suddenly, I'm posting two days in a row? Crazy, right? Anyway, I'll admit that I haven't really been keeping up with SpongeBob SquarePants much in recent years. Like, I think the most recent episode that I watched in its entirety is the birthday episode that came out during the show's 20th anniversary back in 2019; that's how far behind I am in regards to the show. Regardless, I do have fond memories from when I was watching SpongeBob all the time as a kid, and one of those memories involves everyone's favorite fry cooking sponge singing off-key about a customer's striped sweater to a crowd of hungry and progressively more annoyed customers. The customers may have wanted their Krabby Patties more than they wanted SpongeBob to entertain them, but I've always been quite amused by this scene! I was actually thinking about it a couple of years ago and thought, "What i

The 20 Anime I Wanted To Watch In 2017: Have I Watched Them By 2023?

Image
(Disclaimer: None of these images are mine, either!) On New Year’s Eve of 2016, I wrote and posted a blog post where I listed 20 anime that I planned to watch in the coming year. (Well, 21, if you count an honorable mention.) However, I will admit that sometimes, not everything goes according to plan; some anime didn’t air until 2018, some anime I just didn’t get around to until later years, and some I still haven’t gotten around to at all. I should have made a follow-up blog post right when 2017 ended to list which ones I did and didn’t watch, but I didn’t really think about doing it until now. Thus, I’m here today to list my current watching status for the anime I said I would watch about six years ago and give my opinions on the ones I did watch (or at least, what I remember my opinions being at the time of watching). Without further ado, let’s get to the list! 1. Tari Tari (watched to completion) I said in my previous blog post that I wanted Tari Tari to be the first anime I watc
