History Behind Awcrap
After finishing Heart to Heart, I immediately began to think about another story idea I could have. Suddenly, it came to me; what if the main character of a novel secretly had a bad word in their name? I know, if his name has a bad word in it, his parents must really hate him. I know that that's probably what you're thinking, but if you could just hear me out for a second, you would know that the whole thing with the bad word name would be an accident. If you named your kid after a curse word by accident and were too tired from giving birth to realize your mistake, what would you do?
That's why I have to tell you about my upcoming story, Awcrap.
Awcrap centers around a boy named Awcrap Dickinson. His mother wasn't going to name him that, but at the time that she'd given birth to him, she realized that she forgot to hire a babysitter for her daughter and Awcrap's older sister, Bea, and shouted, "AW, CRAP!" Since she was too tired from childbirth to correct the nurses and his father wasn't around, the name stuck. Since then, Awcrap has lived a miserable life; he's been unable to go to family reunions, he once had a baby-sitter who freaking hated him, and he's had to go by the nickname A.C. at school. Now in high school, Awcrap has distanced himself from his peers to prevent anyone from finding out his real name, because if it gets out, he'll be expelled, One day, however, a beautiful girl, Chocolate Tesuto, appears and decides to teach Awcrap that his name doesn't define who he is.
As you can see, as ridiculous as it is, Awcrap actually teaches a lesson to us all. Your name alone doesn't define who you are, no matter how much you may hate it. I actually plan to write a full-length novel for this, but for now, I've only got an eight-page-long prototype written down. I plan to post it on my story blog, which currently only holds Heart to Heart (here's a link to the blog), before the end of the day. Until then, keep your eyes peeled!
I also have been working very hard on another novel, but that one is going to be a surprise. I plan to send this particular novel to a publishing company, so once I've got it done, sent, and green-lit for release, I'll reveal to you what it is. In the process, I'll finally reveal my real name, as for this novel, I will be using my real name and not a pen-name or this name I made up just for my Google account. Until then, look forward to it!
