What I'll Be Watching During Fall 2019

I have a confession to make; I haven't really been keeping up with the seasonal anime for the past few seasons. Sure, there were a few anime I'd pick up, but I'd never finish it or finish it after the season is over. I don't know why; it's probably a combination of real life being a pain in the butt and there just not being as many anime that would catch my interest. However, with the end of the summer 2019 season approaching, I have actually already managed to finish the two anime I picked up from this season (Uchi no Ko and Given) and even finished the one anime I picked up from last season (Fruits Basket)! During the fall 2019, I want to continue this, and hopefully, while I'm at it, I'll be writing reviews for all of them like I did for Uchi no Ko and Given! Just to make sure I watch them all, though, I narrowed the amount of anime I'm watching down to five. Now, I shall show you these five!

New Anime I Will Watch #1: Shinchou Yuusha: Kono Yuusha ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru

The English title for the light novel that this anime is based off of is "The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious", and from what the summary says, it seems like it's little more than what it says on the tin. It's also an isekai, and I'm sure there are many people who are sick of isekais. (Spoiler alert: there are also two other isekais on this list.) Why do I plan on watching this, then? Well, it's just that I see the comedic potential in a concept like this. I mean, it could very well only have the one joke, but maybe it'll have more, right?

New Anime I Will Watch #2: Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo

This anime could very well be a dumpster fire. I mean, the animation style isn't exactly the most appealing one, and I'm sure that people will just blow it off because of the plot. However, when it comes to upcoming anime, Oresuki is one that just keeps popping up for me. What choice do I have but to watch it now? Plus, it could very well have the potential to actually be good. Probably not the best anime in history, but entertaining, at least.

New Anime I Will Watch #3: Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tta Itta yo ne!

Ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary brethren (yes, I'm saying that line here, too), here we have the second isekai on this list! Like Oresuki, this was a title that I also continuously saw around. Funny enough, when I first heard about it, I honestly thought that it was going to be another isekai where the male protagonist has a harem, with the main girl in the harem happening to be a loli; imagine my surprise when I found out that the "main girl in the harem" was actually the one who was isekai'd and that there was no harem! (Now, I want to smack myself.) In any case, from what I see of this anime, it seems like a mix of the isekai subgenre and the "cute girls doing cute girls" subgenre, and I'm kind of curious to see how these subgenres mix.

New Anime I Will Watch #4: Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen

This is the third and final isekai anime on this list, as well as the last one on this list that is based off of a light novel. (Ha! You thought all five were going to be based off of light novels, did you?) Like Wataryoku (I'm calling it that because I can't find an official abbreviation), it's also an isekai where it's a girl being isekai'd instead of a guy. If I had to choose between the two of them, though, I'd say I'm more interested in this one. As someone who aspires to create stories as my career, the idea of creating books in a fantasy world just kind of appeals to me. Plus, the art looks pretty good.

New Anime I Will Watch #5: Null Peta

As well as being the only new anime on this list that isn't based off of a light novel, it's also the one I am looking forward to the most. I wouldn't say the reason why I'm looking forward to it so much is anything spectacular, though; the plot and art style just appeal to me. It seems like a very cute anime with a touch of sadness in it, considering how the reason why the main character built the robot was because of her sister's death. If this anime lives up to the amount of hype I personally have for it, I'll give the game a try, too!

Just because I listed five anime, though, doesn't mean I won't watch the other fall 2019 anime; these five are just the ones I will watch, no matter what. If any of the other fall 2019 anime end up being hits, I may consider giving them a watch, too. I know of one fall 2019 anime that I will be completely ignoring, though.

New Anime I Won't Watch #1: Kandagawa Jet Girls

Don't quote me on this, but I can already tell that this is going to be a dumpster fire. Enough has been said.
